PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville captured its ninth consecutive 57th District volleyball title on Tuesday, Oct. 20, shutting out crosstown rival Johnson Central 3-0. Dominant throughout the district title match, Paintsville limited Johnson Central. Winning on its home court, Paintsville, under the guidance of head coach Dawn Kinner, prevailed 25-11, 25-11, 25-17. Hailey Little (16 kills, 1 block, 3 digs, 4 service aces), Hadley Hardin (6 kills, 6 digs, 4 service aces), Blair Ratliff (6 kills, 3 blocks), Kara Ward (5 kills, 1 assist, 4 digs, 1 service ace), Bella Blackburn (2 kills, 2 blocks, 29 assists, 5 digs, 2 service aces), Alissa Mullins (11 digs, 1 assist), Mattie Ratliff (11 digs), Emma Music (7 digs), Shelby Hatfield (2 service aces, 1 assist) and Kynzi Slone (2 digs) each delivered for Paintsville in the 57th District title match. Both Paintsville and Johnson Central advanced to the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament.
