Kash Daniel Football Camp slated for July 16

PAINTSVILLE — The Kash Daniel Football Camp is slated to be held at Paintsville High School on Saturday, July 16. Registration for the youth football camp will begin at 9 a.m..The youth football camp is for children ages 6-12 and will be conducted from 10 a.m.-1 p.m..A Paintsville High School graduate, Daniel was a two-time team captain for the University of Kentucky football program. Daniel played in 51 games for the Wildcats. The Paintsville High School graduate made 23 starts for Kentucky, only missing one game with an injury during his college football career.A linebacker, Daniel totaled 168 career tackles along with 11.5 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, one interception and one sack in college.The Paintsville product delivered four career double-figure tackle games for the Wildcats. Daniel was a part of a senior class which won 32 games over four seasons, the most wins for UK in a four-year span since 1949-52, when Paul “Bear” Bryant coached the Cats. The former Paintsville Tiger helped UK advance to four consecutive bowl appearances and back-to-back bowl wins for the first time since the 2007 Music City Bowl and 2009 Liberty Bowl.Daniel graduated in December of 2019 with a degree in communication.In high school, Daniel was a U.S. Army All-American, Kentucky Mr. Football and the Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year.
