Meet the Dawgs set for Aug. 9

LOUISA — The Lawrence County High School volleyball team will host Meet the Dawgs at the LCHS gym from 4:30 p.m.- 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The Red/White Volleyball Game will begin at 5 p.m. and feature the current LCHS volleyball team.

During the event, Nacho Night will be held as a fundraiser. Loaded nachos, a cookie and a drink will be offered for $8 per person. Take-out will be available during Nacho Night.

Head coach Autumn Blevins guides Lawrence County, which opened preseason practice earlier in the month. Lawrence County returned to the court after the conclusion of the KHSAA Dead Period.

Following a loss to Floyd Central in the semifinals of the 58th District Volleyball Tournament, Lawrence County ended the 2021 season 7-22.

The Lady Bulldogs’ 2022 schedule includes matches versus Magoffin County, Raceland, Martin County, Piarist School, Fairview, Pike County Central, Rose Hill Christian, Prestonsburg, Floyd Central and Betsy Layne. Lawrence County is scheduled to host 15th Region rival Magoffin County for a season opener on Monday, Aug. 15.
