The Lawrence County Wrestling Club recently competed at the Appalachian Wrestling Conference in Corbin.

The 2026 KYUSAW and KFWC Youth State Wrestling Championship will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Broadbent Area, 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville.

The student athletes of the Lawrence County Youth Wrestling team will be leaving at noon on Friday, Feb. 20.

These young athletes have put in countless hours of hard work, sweat, and dedication to qualify for this moment. Making it to the state tournament is an incredible accomplishment, and they have truly earned every bit of it. This is something they will remember for the rest of their lives, and our entire program is beyond proud of each and every one of them.

To celebrate this huge achievement, they will be escorted through town by fire departments and police as they head out on their journey. Local businesses, families, and community members are welcome to line the streets, and show these kids the support they deserve! Let’s cheer loud, wave signs, and let them feel the pride of the community standing behind them.
