Lawrence County volleyball team to hold tryouts July 15

LOUISA – The Lawrence County High School volleyball team will hold tryouts from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 15.

Open gym sessions were held by the team Monday, July 12-Tuesday, July 13.

Each student-athlete must have a 2021-22 physical in order participate in the upcoming tryouts.

Every player should bring their own water.

Lawrence County competes in the 58th District and 15th Region. The Bulldogs compiled a 5-8 record in the shortened 2020 high school volleyball season.

Lawrence County is scheduled to host reigning 58th District champion Floyd Central for a season opener on Monday, Aug. 16. The Bulldogs' 2021 schedule includes matches versus familiar opponents Floyd Central, Johnson Central, Betsy Layne, Prestonsburg, Martin County, Raceland, Tolsia (W.Va.). Lewis County, Fairview, East Carter and Belfry, among others.
