Lawrence County upends Morgan County 52-40

WEST LIBERTY — Claiming its fifth straight win, Lawrence County upended Morgan County 52-40 in a girls' high school basketball regular season finale on Friday, Feb. 18.
Lawrence County shot 35.7 percent (20 of 56) from the field. The Bulldogs connected on five of 25 three-point field goal attempts.
Lawrence County shot 87.5 percent (seven of eight) from the free throw line.
Kensley Feltner led Lawrence County with a double-double, scoring 18 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.
Nearly recording a double-double for Lawrence County, Sophie Adkins scored 15 points and hauled down nine rebounds.
Joining Feltner and Adkins in double figures for the Bulldogs, Kaison Ward added 10 points.
Lawrence County won all three of its games during the final week of the regular season, defeating 15th Region rival Martin County in between two wins over Morgan County.
Lawrence County 51, Martin County 37
Lawrence County defeated 15th Region counterpart Martin County 51-37 in a girls' high school basketball game on Tuesday, Feb. 15.
Prevailing on its home floor, Lawrence County shot 36.5 percent (19 of 52) from the field. The Bulldogs connected on five of 25 attempts three-point range.
Lawrence County shot 50 percent (eight of 16) from the free-throw line.
Kensley Feltner led Lawrence County with a double-double, scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. In addition to Feltner reaching double figures in scoring for Lawrence County, Sophie Adkins netted 10 points.
Lawrence County 66, Morgan County 50
Host Lawrence County pulled away to defeat much-improved Morgan County 66-50 in a girls' high school basketball game on Monday, Feb. 14.
Lawrence County shot 46.7 percent (21 of 45) from the field. The Bulldogs shot 37.5 percent (six- of 16) from three-point range.
Lawrence County shot 75 percent (18-of-24) from the free throw line.
Kensley Feltner scored 26 points to lead Lawrence County to the win. Logging a double-double for Lawrence County, Kasion Ward scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Contributing to Lawrence County's win, Sophie Adkins netted 10 points.
