Lawrence County shuts out Knox Central 14-0

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Lawrence County shut out Knox Central 14-0 in five innings in the final round at the Cal Ripken Experience on Thursday, April 7.
Taylor Blevins pitched a one-hit shutout and claimed the win in the circle for the Bulldogs. Blevins walked two and registered 13 strikeouts in five innings.
Knox Central pitcher Abi Beller took the loss in the circle for the Panthers. Beller allowed 14 runs on 17 hits and two walks while registering one strikeout.
Allie Triplett led Lawrence County at the plate, recording three hits and driving in one run.
In addition to Triplett, Dani Crum added three hits, including a double.
Aiding Lawrence County at the plate, Kensley Feltner and Abby Maynard added two hits apiece. Feltner collected three RBIs.
Madison Jones connected for Knox Central’s only hit in the high school softball matchup.
The Bulldogs compiled a 5-0 at the Cal Ripken Experience, notching wins over Knox Central, Marshall County, Lynn Camp, Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prenderg (Pa.) and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Pa.).
Lawrence County 2, Marshall County 1: Lawrence County outlasted Region 1 title contender Marshall County 2-1 at the Cal Ripken Experience on Wednesday, April 6.

Bree Jones led Lawrence County at the plate, finishing 3-for-3. Providing an extra-base hit, Crum doubled and drove in one run for the Bulldogs. Aiding Lawrence County offensively, Abby Nelson singled.
Offensively for Marshall County, Anna Vasseur, Allicen Harris and Chevelle Henson connected for one hit apiece. Henson drove in Marshall County’s only run.
Defensively, Marshall County committed two errors.
