Lawrence County shuts out Floyd Central in 3 innings, 22-0

EASTERN — Lawrence County shut out host Floyd Central 22-0 in three innings in a 58th District softball game on Tuesday, April 18.

Taylor Blevins pitched a three-hit shutout to lead Lawrence County to the district win. Claiming the win in the circle, Blevins recorded three strikeouts over three innings.

Floyd Central pitcher Cadyn Roberson took the loss in the circle.

Kensley Feltner led Lawrence County at the plate, finishing three-for-three with two doubles, one home run and six RBIs.

In addition to Feltner’s leading performance, Gracie Preece (two hits, three RBIs), Abby Nelson (two hits, one RBI), Bree Jones (two hits, one RBI), Danielle Crum (two hits), Shelby Blevins (one hit, two RBIs), Braylee Triplett (one hit, one RBI), Taylor Blevins (one hit, one RBI), Jaylee Maxie (one hit, one RBI) and Abby Maynard (one RBI) each contributed offensively for the Lady Bulldogs.

Lawrence County posted its second win over Floyd Central in the 2023 high school softball season.
