Lawrence County rolls past Pikeville

LOUISA — Lawrence County pulled away to defeat Pikeville 16-1 in three innings on Friday, April 18.
Taylor Blevins pitched for Lawrence County and earned the win in the circle. Blevins allowed only one run on two hits. The Lawrence County pitcher struck out one Pikeville batter.
Lexie French started in the circle for Pikeville and took the loss. French pitched the first one-third of an inning.
Following French, Riley Johnson pitched two and one-third innings in relief for the Lady Panthers.
Lawrence County scored 15 runs n 10 hits. Bree Jones (three hits, three RBIs), Emalynn Kitts (two hits, two RBIs), Gracie Preece (one hit, two RBIs), Jada Patton (one hit, one RBI), Leah Branham (one hit, one RBI), Abby Maynard (one hit) and Addalyn Woods (one hit) each excelled offensively in Lawrence County’s 15-run win. Jones, who drove in three runs, doubled and homered for the Lady Bulldogs.
Offensively for Pikeville. Raven Jones doubled, and Taylor Ritz drove in the Lady Panthers’ lone run.
Lawrence County is scheduled to visit Pikeville for a regular season finale on Friday, May 16.
