ASHLAND — Lawrence County pushed past Male in the Tri-State Showcase at Ashland, winning 10-7 on Saturday, April 12.
Emalynn Kitts homered for Lawrence County during a game versus Male on Saturday, April 12.
Aleaha Gillispie started in the circle for Lawrence County and earned the win. Gillispie pitched two and one-third innings.
Ella Smith pitched three innings in relief for Lawrence County and claimed the save. Smith struck out two Male batters.
Along with Smith, Lawrence County sent Brinley Baisden and Braylee Triplett out to pitch in relief during the game.
Lawrence County scored 10 runs on eight hits. Emalynn Kitts (two hits, four RBIs), Jada Patton (two hits, one RBI), Gracie Preece (two hits, one RBI), Taylor Blevins (two hits, one RBI), Millie Sammons (one RBI) and Bree Jones (one RBI) excelled offensively for Lawrence County in its win. Kitts homered and doubled for the Lady Bulldogs.

Braylee Triplett pitched for Lawrence County and suffered the loss in the circle.
Offensively, Lawrence County was limited. The Lady Bulldogs plated one run on three hits. Jada Patton (one hit, one RBI), Gracie Preece (one hit) and Bree Jones (one hit) accounted for Lawrence County’s offense. Patton homered and drove in the Lady Bulldogs’ lone run.
