LOUISA - Lawrence County posted back-to-back girls' high school basketball wins over Greenup County and Tug Valley (W.Va.) Tuesday, Jan. 11-Wednesday, Jan. 12.

Lawrence County 53, Greenup County 48

Lawrence County upended former 16th Region rival Greenup County 53-48 in a girls' high school basketball game on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

Kensley Feltner scored 28 points and hauled down 12 rebounds to lead Lawrence County to the win.

Accompanying Feltner in double figures for Lawrence County, Sophie Adkins scored 11 points.

Contributing to Lawrence County's victory, Kaison Ward added eight points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Lawrence County outrebounded Greenup County 42-36.

Emma Frazier and Rachel Bush combined to pace Greenup County, scoring 14 points and 13 points, respectively.

Lawrence County 76, Tug Valley (W.Va.) 66

Visiting Lawrence County topped Tug Valley (W.Va.) 76-66 in a girls' high school basketball game on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

Lawrence County shot 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from the free throw line in the win.

Kensley Feltner scored 35 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to the victory.

Following Feltner's leading performance for Lawrence County, Kaison Ward added 15 points and seven rebounds.

Leandra Curnutte, following a transfer from Paintsville, contributed eight points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Andrew Mortimer
