PIKEVILLE — Lawrence County excelled in the 15th Region Tennis Tournament, which concluded on Tuesday, May 12.

Under the direction of Coach Joey McClanahan, Lawrence County thrived in the 15th Region Tennis Tournament.

A breakdown of Lawrence County’s top finishers in the 15th Region Tennis Tournament follows.

Chase Kendrick won the 15th Region Boys’ Tennis Singles Championship.

Alex DeSario finished as the 15th Region Boys’ Tennis Singles Runner-up

Aiden Mynhier and Cayden Sweeney won the 15th Region Boys’ Tennis Doubles Championship.

Reagan Webb and Molly McClanahan won the 15th Region Girls’ Tennis Doubles Championship.

Lawrence Ccunty is a tradition-rich high school tennis program which produces region champions and state tournament qualifiers regularly.

The Lawrence County players who have advanced to the KHSAA State Tennis Tournament will compete in the opening round of the event at the Ashland Tennis Center. The times for the opening round matches in the KHSAA State Tennis Tournament were still to be announced at the start of the week.
