LOUISA — The Lawrence County 7U baseball team captured the Cal Ripken state championship at Stella Moore Park on Friday, July 7.

Lawrence County beat Boyd County 16-4 in its opening game in the state tournament on Wednesday, July 5.

Continuing to win later in the day on Wednesday, July 5, Lawrence County beat Jessamine County 7-3.

Lawrence County outlasted rival Boyd County 6-5 in the state championship game on Friday, July 7.

The Lawrence County 7U All-Stars are Cory Keeton, Tyson Muncy, Eli Block, Sawyer Laney, Colton Bentley, Ryder Endicott, Derrick “Debo” Black, Waylon Raines, Easton Osborn, Braxton Young and Zayne Powell.

The Lawrence County 7U All-Stars’ coaching staff consists of Brad Laney, Marshall Endicott, Jeremy Block, Caleb Bentley and Ricky Osborn.
