LLOYD — Lawrence County rolled past Greenup County 20-1 in five innings in a high school softball game on Saturday, March 16.
After notching the win, Lawrence County moved to 3-0.
Lawrence County pitcher Taylor Blevins earned the win in the circle. Blevins limited Greenup County to one run on five hits. The Lawrence County pitcher allowed two walks while recording three strikeouts.
Greenup County pitcher Laiken Cooper took the loss.
Replacing Cooper for Greenup County, Charleigh Grayson pitched in relief.
Lawrence County utilized a balanced offensive attack, which featured Blevins (two hits, three RBIs), Bree Jones (three hits, one RBI), Hallie Adkins (two hits, four RBIs), Addalyn Woods (two hits, three RBIs), Jada Patton (two hits, two RBIs), Brooklyn Ellis (one hit, three RBIs), Gracie Preece (one hit) and Dani Crum (one hit). Both Blevins and Woods homered.
Jones paced Lawrence County on the basepaths, recording three steals.
A Lawrence County-Pikeville softball game scheduled for Monday, March 18 was canceled due to the weather.
