Jones named 15th Region Player of the Year'

LOUISA — Lawrence County senior shortstop/center fielder Bree Jones has been named the 15th Region Player of the Year.
Jones earned the honor from the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association, which recognized the top player in each of the state’s 16 regions.
As a senior, Jones helped to lead Lawrence County to the 2025 15th Region softball title. After capturing the 15th Region title, Lawrence County reached the semifinals of the Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament presented by UK HealthCare.
Jones batted .424 with 47 runs, 42 hits, 17 RBIs, six doubles, five triples, one home run, 20 walks and 22 stolen bases as a senior for Lawrence County in the 2025 high school softball season. The senior led Lawrence County in runs, triples, walks and stolen bases. Jones was a perfect 22-for-22 on stole base attempts.
A longtime leader for Lawrence County, Jones made an impact throughout her prep softball career.
Earlier in the month, following the conclusion of the 2025 high school softball season, Jones competed for East Senior All-Stars.
