Golden Eagles split twin bill at St. Henry

ERLANGER — Johnson Central split a high school baseball doubleheader on the road at St. Henry on Saturday, May 8.

St. Henry edged the Golden Eagles 5-4.

In another game, Johnson Central outlasted the Crusaders 7-6.

Johnson Central 7, St. Henry 6

Determined Johnson Central outlasted host St. Henry 7-6 during a high school baseball doubleheader on Saturday, May 8.

Connor Lemaster and Cameron Kelsey split time on the mound for the Golden Eagles, combining to record seven strikeouts. Kelsey claimed the win pitching win.

Lemaster (3-for-3, one RBI), Brock Butcher (3-for-4, two RBIs) and Chandler Spradlin (2-for-4) combined to pace Johnson Central at the plate. Lemaster doubled twice for the Golden Eagles.

St. Henry 5, Johnson Central 4

Visiting Johnson Central fell short as St. Henry held on to win 5-4 during a high school baseball doubleheader on Saturday, May 8.

Both Bryce Spencer and Hunter Blevins pitched for the Golden Eagles. Spencer started on the mound and suffered the loss.

Connor Lemaster paced Johnson Central at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with one RBI.
