Feltner named to ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region First Team

MOREHEAD — Following another stellar season, Morehead State University sophomore first baseman Jackson Feltner has been selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Midwest Region First Team.

A Lawrence County High School graduate from Louisa, Feltner is now eligible for ABCA All-America consideration.

For the second straight season, Feltner nearly batted the elusive .400, finishing at .393 for the 2022 campaign. The two-time First-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honoree and the 2021 OVC Freshman of the Year, Feltner upped his production to 16 home runs and 17 doubles to go along with 51 RBIs. Feltner also recorded 84 hits, scored 56 runs and amassed a team-best .706 slugging percentage.

The Lawrence County High School product ranked among the OVC leaders in multiple-hit games (28) and multi-RBI games (10). Feltner also compiled a 15-game hitting streak in the 2022 college baseball season.

Morehead State finished third in the OVC and put together a 27-27 overall record during the latest college baseball campaign.
