LOUISA — Kensley Feltner scored a game-high 38 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Lawrence County over visiting Betsy Layne 68-44 in a 58th District girls' basketball game on Wednesday, Jan. 19.

Lawrence County shot 36.6 percent (26 of 71) from the field in the district win. The Lady Bulldogs shot 30 percent (six of 20) from three-point range.

Lawrence County shot 62.5 percent (10 of 16) from the free-throw line in the convincing victory.

Feltner was the only Lawrence County player to reach double figures in scoring.

Chipping in offensively, Kaison Ward and Sophie Adkins added eight points apiece for the Lady Bulldogs.

Ward paced Betsy Layne inside, claiming 13 rebounds.

Lawrence County is scheduled to visit Betsy Layne for another 58th District girls' basketball game on Friday, Feb. 4.

Lawrence County 66, Floyd Central 54

Kensley Feltner scored 33 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Lawrence County over visiting Floyd Central 66-54 in a 58th District girls' basketball game on Friday, Jan. 21.

Along with Feltner's double-double, Sophie Adkins scored 10 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Aiding Lawrence County's offensive attack, Kaison Ward added eight points and Leandra Curnutte contributed seven points.

Lawrence County shot 43.4 percent (23 of 53) from the field in the district win. Connecting on over half of its free throw attempts, Lawrence County shot 55.2 percent (16 of 29) from the foul line.
