LOUISVILLE — Senior guard Kensley Feltner scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Lawrence County past Anderson County 50-46 in the Raatz Fence/O’Shea’s Classic at Mercy Academy on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Lawrence County led at the end of each quarter, outscoring Anderson County 15-10 in the opening period.

The Lady Bulldogs led 23-21 at halftime.

Maintaining an advantage, Lawrence County led 38-36 at the end of the third quarter.

Lawrence County shot 36.7 percent (18-of-49) from the field. The Lady Bulldogs connected on one of 18 three-point field goal attempts.

Lawrence County shot 68.4 percent (13-of-19) from the free throw line.

Feltner, who logged a double-double, was the only Lawrence County player to reach double figures in scoring. Narrowly missing double figures for Lawrence County, Sophie Adkins scored nine points and Kaison Ward netted eight points.

Providing the remainder of Lawrence County’s individual scoring, Abby Nelson added five points and Leandra contributed two points.

Lainey Johnson paced Anderson County with a double-double, scoring 19 points and claiming 10 rebounds. Johnson was the only Anderson County player to reach double figures in scoring.

Ella Baum (eight points), Jenna Satterly (six points), Jenna Beasley (four points), Abby Wells (three points), Faith McGregor (three points) and Faith Hyatt (three points) followed Johnson in Anderson County’s scoring column.
