East Carter-Tolsia game stopped in third quarter

GRAYSON — The East Carter-Tolsia football game was stopped with 39 seconds remaining in the third quarter on Friday, Sept. 25.Following multiple developments on the field and in the stands, East Carter administration made the decision to stop the game, which the Raiders were leading 36-21.The high school football game was called off after 11 players were ejected and fans were escorted out of the game by Kentucky State Police. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) regards the shortened game as a win for East Carter. It is considered to be final as of the time of stoppage. Tolsia was forced to play from behind for nearly three full quarters. The Raiders scored first and never trailed. East Carter led 21-7 at halftime. On the ground for Tolsia, Gavin Meadows and John Wilson rushed for one touchdown apiece. Tolsia reached the end via the ground and through the air during the heated high school football matchup. Through the air for the Rebels, Jesse Muncy completed a 41-yard scoring pass to Zack Ball.
