Delongs named to Class 3A All-State Second Team

PAINTSVILLE — Johnson Central sophomore catcher Mayson Delong and junior first baseman Randi Delong have been named to the Class 3A All-State Second Team.

Mayson Delong led the Eagles during the 2023 high school softball season, batting .650 with 78 hits, 51 RBIs, 19 doubles, eight triples. 14 home runs and 13 stolen bases.

Randi Delong followed, batting .495 with 55 hits, 53 RBIs, nine doubles and nine home runs for the Eagles.

Johnson Central captured the 15th Region title and reached the second round of the KHSAA Softball State Tournament.
