Crum, Delong share Region 15 Player of the Year honor

LEXINGTON — Lawrence County junior utility player Dani Crum and Johnson Central sophomore catcher Mayson Delong share the Region 15 Player of the Year honor.

The Kentucky Softball Coaches Association (KSCA) recognized Crum and Delong.

Both Crum and Delong excelled throughout the 2023 high school softball season.

The player of the year honorees for each of the state’s 16 regions follow.

Region 1 Player of the Year: Ally Hutchins (McCracken County).

Region 2 Player of the Year: Brenna Sherman (Madisonville-North Hopkins).

Region 3 Player of the Year: Jessie Daniels (Daviess County).

Region 4 Player of the Year: McLaine Hudson (South Warren).

Region 5 Player of the Year: Lynee Britain (Central Hardin).

Region 6 Player of the Year: Kaden Dunlap (Mercy).

Region 7 Player of the Year: Brooke Gay (Ballard).

Region 8 Player of the Year: Emma Ginn (Trimble County).

Region 9 Player of the Year: Kennedy Baioni (Highlands).

Region 10 Player of the Year: Isabella Persinger (Harrison County), Reaghan Oney (Montgomery County).

Region 11 Player of the Year: Abby Hammond (Lexington Catholic).

Region 12 Player of the Year: Kayleigh White (East Jessamine).

Region 13 Player of the Year: Emily Sizemore (North Laurel).

Region 14 Player of the Year: Sarah Smith (Wolfe County).

Region 15 Player of the Year: Dani Crum (Lawrence County), Mayson Delong (Johnson Central).
