Chicko named 7th Grade, Region 3 Player of the Year

LOUISA — Lawrence County standout Marcelo Chicko has been named the 7th Grade, Region 3 Player of the Year.

The Kentucky Middle School Football Association honored Chicko.

Among the top middle school football players in the state, Chicko excelled throughout his seventh-grade season.

Chicko will be recognized at the Kentucky Middle School Football Association state championship games at Lexington Christian Academy on Saturday, Nov. 15.

The Kentucky Middle School Football Association Player of the Year honorees from across the state follow.

Kentucky Middle School Football Association 8th Grade Division 1 Players of the Year: Region 1 - Garrett Pearson (Bowling Green), Region 2 - Charlie Dean (Boone County), Region 3 - Preston Schaffer (Elkhorn), Region 4 - Cade Chappell (Whitey County).  

Kentucky Middle School Football Association 8th Grade Division 2 Players of the Year: Region 1 - Braxton Veach (Taylor County), Region 2 - Myles Carroll (Lincoln County), Region 3 - Aiden Osborne (Johnson County), Region 4 - Chris Perry (McCreary County).  

Kentucky Middle School Football Association 8th Grade Division 3 Players of the Year: Region 1 - Tyren Anderson (Green County), Region 2 - Tyler Lewis (Christian Academy-Louisville), Region 3 - Lucas Tackett (West Carter), Region 4 - Trigg Whisenant (Letcher County).

Kentucky Middle School Football Association 7th Grade Players of the Year: Region 1 - Aiden Tuttle (Bullitt East), Region 2 - Eli Burke (Christian Academy-Louisville), Region 3 - Marcelo Chicko (Lawrence County), Region 4 - Landry Anderson (Somerset).
