Lawrence County was limited at the plate as Oakton (Va.) prevailed 7-2 at the Cal Ripken Experience on Sunday, April 2.
Talan Pollock suffered the loss on the mound for the Bulldogs. Pollock pitched five innings, allowing three earned runs on four hits while recording seven strikeouts.
Offensively for Lawrence County, Dylan Whitt (two hits, one RBI), Eli Fletcher (two hits), Braydan Maynard (one hit), Jake Derifield (one hit) and Blake Prater (one RBI) chipped in at the plate.

Harbor Creek (Pa.) 4

Bouncing back to win, Lawrence County outlasted Harbor Creek (Pa.) 5-4 in nine innings at the Cal Ripken Experience on Monday, April 3.
Braydan Maynard claimed the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Maynard held Harbor Creek scoreless over two and one-third innings, allowing two hits.
Jake Derifield claimed the save for the Bulldogs. Derifield pitched the final inning, giving up only one hit while striking out one.
Braxton Davis started on the mound for Lawrence County and pitched five innings. Davis allowed three earned runs on two hits while logging two strikeouts.
Will Lafferty (two hits) and Eli Fletcher (one hit) were each instrumental at the plate for the Bulldogs. Lafferty homered for Lawrence County in the win.
Dylan Whitt provided a bunt that allowed Derifield to score the game-winning run for Lawrence County in the ninth inning.

Lawrence County fell behind and couldn’t battle back as St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute won 11-2 at the Cal Ripken Experience on Tuesday, April 4.
Will Lafferty suffered the loss on the mound for the Bulldogs.
Aiding his pitching cause at the plate, Lafferty doubled.
Eli Fletcher led Lawrence County’s offensive effort, supplying three doubles.
Contributing at the plate for the Bulldogs, Dylan Whitt doubled and Abner Collinsworth drove in one run.

Northwest (Ohio) 2 (5 innings)
Lawrence County pulled away to defeat Northwest (Ohio) 16-2 in five innings at the Cal Ripken Experience on Tuesday, April 4.
The Bulldogs erupted for nine runs in the second inning to put the game out of Northwest’s reach.
Jake Derifield (two hits, two RBIs), Abner Collinsworth (two hits, two RBIs), Blake Prater (two hits, one RBI), Braydan Maynard (one hit), Will Lafferty (one RBI) and Eli Fletcher (one RBI) were each key contributors at the plate for perennial 15th Region title contender Lawrence County.
Lafferty scored four runs and Fletcher three runs for the Bulldogs. As part of a balanced Lawrence County offensive effort, Maynard, Talan Pollock and Cody Crum each scored two runs.
Tyler Cavins pitched a complete game for Lawrence County and earned the win on the mound. Cavins allowed two runs on four walks while recording two strikeouts.

Lawrence County won its final game at the Cal Ripken Experience, defeating Hillsdale (Ohio) 6-4 on Wednesday, April 5.
Jake Derifield pitched a complete game for Lawrence County and claimed the win on the mound. Derifield allowed two earned runs on eight hits while recording three strikeouts.
Will Lafferty and Eli Fletcher each homered for Lawrence County in the win.
Stepping up offensively, Abner Collinsworth (two hits, two RBIs), Blake Prater (two hits) and Dylan Whitt (one hit) contributed for Lawrence County at the plate.
