SALYERSVILLE — Lawrence County defeated reigning 15th Region champion Magoffin County 88-75 on Thursday, Feb. 6.
The Bulldogs beat the Hornets for the second time in less than three weeks.
Lawrence County shot 47.1 percent (32-of-68) from the field in its latest win over Magoffin County. The Bulldogs shot 39.3 percent (11-of-28) from three-point range.
Lawrence County shot 76.5 percent (13-of-17) from the free throw line.
Hayden Perry led Lawrence County to the win, scoring 26 points and claiming eight rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Accompanying Perry in double figures for Lawrence County, Gunnar Woods scored 22 points and Kaiden Harris netted 18 points.
Narrowly missing double figures for Lawrence County, Braxton Davis posted nine points.
Seven different players entered Lawrence County’s scoring column. Luke Fetherolf (six points), Kaden Johnson (six points) and Caden Muncy (one point) supplied the rest of Lawrence County’s scoring.
