Bulldogs roll past Rose Hill Christian 91-67

ASHLAND — Lawrence County returned to the win column on the road on Thursday, Jan. 14, rolling past Rose Hill Christian 91-67 in a boys' high school basketball game.

The Bulldogs returned to the win column five days after dropping a game to former 57th District rival Johnson Central.

Lawrence County (3-1) shot 50 percent (35-of-70) from the field. The Bulldogs were 7-of-20 (35 percent) from 3-point range.

Lawrence County shot 82.4 percent (14-of-17) from the free throw line.

The Bulldogs outrebounded the Royals 41-22, controlling the backboards.

Four Lawrence County players reached double figures in the scoring column. Trenton Adkins led Lawrence County, scoring a game-high 26 points and pulling down 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Finishing directly behind Adkins in scoring for Lawrence County, Cody Maynard posted 25 points.

Kaden Gillispie registered another double-double for the Bulldogs, delivering 16 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Baden Gillispie followed, posting 13 points for the Bulldogs in the win.

Rose Hill Christian shot 45.6 percent (26-of-57) from the field. The Royals were 9-of-19 beyond the arc, shooting 47.4 percent from 3-point range.

Rose Hill Christian shot 60 percent (6-of-10) from the free throw line.

Kaison Coleman scored 21 points to lead the Royals. Accompanying Coleman in double figures for Rose Hill Christian, Stacy Jackson scored 17 points.

Narrowly missing double figures in scoring for the Royals, Luke Larsen added nine points.
