Bulldogs outlast Pirates in overtime

LOUISA — Lawrence County outlasted Belfry 3-2 in overtime in a 57th District boys’ soccer match on Thursday, Aug. 14.

The match served as a 2025 season opener for the Bulldogs.

Lawrence County is the reigning 15th Region boys’ soccer champion.

Cooper Vinson scored in overtime to lift Lawrence County to the win.

Along with Vinson, Jack Cline and Aiden Mynhier netted one goal apiece for the Bulldogs.

Offensively for Belfry, Peyton Ramsey and Jaxson Baldwin netted one goal apiece in the 57th District boys’ soccer match.

The Bulldogs and Pirates are familiar 57th District rivals.

Lawrence County is scheduled to host Belfry for another 57th District match in the second half of the 2025 boys’ high school soccer season on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
