LOUISA – Senior Baden Gillispie scored 21 points to lead Lawrence County over visiting Fairview 70-42 on Senior Night on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
The Bulldogs took control early, separating themselves from former 16th Region nemesis Fairview.
Lawrence County shot 46.6 percent (27-of-58) from the field. The Bulldogs were 7-of-20 (35 percent) from 3-point range.
Lawrence County shot 64.3 percent (9-of-14) from the free throw line.
The Bulldogs edged the Eagles 22-21 in in the rebounding column.
Gillispie led a trio of Lawrence County scorers in double figures. Accompanying Gillispie in double figures for the Bulldogs, Andrew Bloomfield netted 17 points and Cody Maynard contributed 12 points.
Fairview shot 45.9 percent (17-of-37) from the field. The Eagles were 1-of-7 from 3-point range.
Fairview shot 70 percent (7-of-10) from the free throw line.
Jaxon Manning paced Fairview, scoring a game-high 22 points or the Eagles. Manning was 8-of-13 from inside the arc.
Steven Day was the only other Fairview player to reach double figures, finishing with 11 points.
