10 Johnson Central softball players earn All-Academic honors

PAINTSVILLE — A total of 10 Johnson Central players have earned All-Academic honors from the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.

The honors are based off the GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Only high school juniors and seniors are eligible to be honored.

On the field, Johnson Central captured 57th District and 15th Region championships during the 2021 high school softball season.

Johnson Central, following an appearance in the KHSAA State Softball Tournament, concluded the 2021 season 33-7. Boyle County edged Johnson Central 1-0 in the opening round of the state softball tournament.

The academic honorees from the Johnson Central softball program follow.

All-Academic First Team (3.75 Weighted GPA or above): Clara Blair, Jaden Bowling, Macy Conley, Claire Gamble, Kendal Hall, Savanna Holbrook, Jadrien Morrow, Chloe VanHoose, Madelyn Vaughn.

All-Academic Second Team (3.5 to 3.74 Weighted GPA): Abigail Williams.
