LOUISA — COVID-19 vaccination efforts are well underway in Lawrence, Johnson, Floyd and Martin counties.

King’s Daughters announced Feb. 3 a collaboration with Three Rivers Medical Center and the Kentucky Department for Public Health to provide COVID-19 vaccine clinics to residents in Lawrence, Carter and adjacent counties.

The clinics will be by appointment only and focus on providing vaccine to residents 70 and older who live in those areas.

Lawrence County first-dose vaccine clinics will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 12 and Feb. 19 at the Lawrence County Community Center on 205 Bulldog Lane in Louisa.

Second doses, which will be administered 28 days later, will be given at the same location, a King’s Daughter’s release said.

Eligible residents who want to receive the first dose of the vaccine Feb. 12 or Feb. 19 may request an appointment through the Lawrence County Health Department Facebook page (preferred) or by calling (606) 638-4389.

“King’s Daughters is proud to partner with our many providers and agencies in our service area as we work as quickly as possible to deliver the COVID vaccine to our most vulnerable citizens,” the release said.

King’s Daughter’s also advised that while the vaccine rollout continues, residents should continue to wear a mask, maintain social distancing, avoid crowds, stay home as much as possible and wash their hands frequently.
