PRESTONSBURG — Kentucky State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision in which two people died Dec. 6 on Ky. 114 in Prestonsburg.
Irvine Doss, 67, of Forest Hills, and Carolyn Gibson, 48, were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office.
The KSP said in a release issued Dec. 8 that through their investigation, troopers discovered that Linda Naimo, 52, of Georgetown, was operating a 2002 Dodge pickup on Ky. 114 when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2019 Nissan pickup being operated by Doss.
Gibson was a passenger in Naimo’s vehicle, the release said.
The investigation is ongoing by KSP Det. Josh Scott, an accident reconstructionist, who was assisted at the scene by KSP Post 9 personnel, the Middle Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
