FRANKFORT – Attorney General Daniel Cameron said Tuesday that an investigation and prosecution by his Medicaid Fraud Unit led to the indictment Thursday of a Johnson County woman for alleged exploitation of an adult.

The Magoffin County Grand Jury indicted Courtney Arnett, 31, of Stambaugh, on one count of knowingly exploiting an adult, a class C felony, and one count of theft by failure to make required disposition of property, a class C felony.

According to the indictment, Arnett exploited the finances of a vulnerable adult from December 2018 to January 2019.

The case was investigated by Det. Justin Cooley of the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Unit. Assistant Attorney General Lindon Gullett presented the case before the Magoffin County Grand Jury.
