TRUMBO HILL—A GoFundMe House Fire Relief Fund has been set up for Jerry ‘Chainsaw’ Bryant and his mother, Flo, who lost their home March 4, in a fire. A concert, Saw Grass Benefit Bluegrass Show, has also been scheduled for May 12th and 13th at the Poppy Mountain Campground in Morehead.

The GoFundMe was created by the Haldeman Fire Department and Rudy Fest organizations to raise funds not only to help Chainsaw and Flo get back on their feet, but also for the future replacement of their home on Trumbo Hill.

“Chainsaw arrived home around 11 a.m. and discovered the entire home was filled with smoke. His mother, Flo, was inside the home and disoriented at the time of his return. They both escaped the fire safely,” the Haldeman Fire Department said on their GoFundMe page. “Olive Hill Fire Department arrived within minutes and began a successful fire attack. Mutual aid was also provided by the Hayes Crossing-Haldeman Fire Department where Chainsaw, has been a dedicated member of the department for the last 22 years. Chainsaw and Flo were both transported to St. Clair HealthCare for smoke inhalation and were released later that day. Their home is a total loss and they are currently living in a house owned by Jerry Bowen at 980 Tunnel Cut Loop in Morehead, Ky. 40351.”

Currently, they have raised $6,553 of their $20,000 goal on the GoFundMe page.

The concert will feature Keith Prater & Lacy Creek on Friday at 5 p.m.; Dave Adkins, Friday at 6: 30 p.m. and Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out on Friday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
