LOUISA — The Lawrence County Grand Jury issued four true bills, ironically, three of them are for the same man.

• Paul Hackney, 41, of Louisa, is charged in the first indictment with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On or before January 25, Hackney was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and an altered glass pipe containing chemical residue.

In the second indictment, Hackney is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On or before April 27, Hackney was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and an altered glass pipe containing chemical residue.

In the third indictment, Hackney is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

On or before April 27, Hackney was allegedly in possession of a .380 caliber handgun after having been previously convicted of a felony in Lawrence Circuit Court 17-CR-00151.

• Rondal L. Endicott, of Debord, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless driving.

On or before March 8, Endicott was allegedly in possession of Fentanyl; he operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances with a previous conviction within the last 10 years of KRS 189.010, in Martin District Court, 18-M-00143; he was in possession of an altered straw and he was operating his motor vehicle in a reckless manner without regard for the safety and convenience of pedestrians or other vehicles upon the roadway.

(Editor’s note: An indictment is not an indication of guilt but a determination by a grand jury that criminal charges warrant further judicial review.)
