Mental Health Matters event to be June 1 in downtown Louisa city park

Lawrence County is holding their third yearly event, “Mental Health Matters” June 1 from 4 until 8 p.m.
at the Main Street Park next to the Lawrence County Library.
The event is sponsored by many of the area health organizations such as Three River’s Medical Center, Pathways, Mountain Comp, ARC, Mt. Homeplace KYNECT, The Drop and Horizon Home Care. The event will also have many area vendors along with Lawrence County Sheriff’s Impact Program and Northeast Headstart who will be on hand to register kids for their school.
Musical entertainment this year will include Devin Moore, Madison Dale, Chuck Robertson and Shortwave DJ Service.
There will be many door prizes, petting zoo, corn hole, face painting, inflatables and a dunking booth along with several other activities for children of all ages. One coordinator, Jodie Short said the event is growing each year with more people in the community wanting to take part in the event.
The event is free to the public with the exception of food sales. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the evening.
