Lawrence County High School football team does Community Service Project at local cemetery

Members of the Lawrence County football program volunteered their time on Saturday, May 13, to assist the Lawrence County Fiscal Court at Pine Hill Cemetery, in preparation for Memorial Day. They removed old flowers, picked up garbage, as well as mowing/weedeating. Breakfast and lunch were provided by Judge Executive Phil Carter.

LCHS football coach, Alan Short expressed his gratitude for the team’s participation in this event, “What a great day and how tremendously proud we are of these guys and the sacrifices they have made today. They learned a great deal about teamwork and helping others today. It is an honor to coach and mentor these young men.”
