MC Indicts Several on Bail Jumping in May Session

The Martin County Grand Jury decided that eight cases should be considered for further judicial review during their May session last Thursday, May 7.
A case of criminal abuse 2nd degree against a child under 12 and (2) counts of falsely reporting an incident on Tiffany Taylor, 47, of Huntington, WV, was sent to grand jury.
According to the indictment, from July 1, 2024, through April 13, 2026, Taylor is accused of wantonly abusing a child causing torture, cruel confinement and/or cruel punishment while also twice reporting to authorities an offense or incident within their official concern knowing that it did not occur.
•Millard Newsome, 45, of Debord, was charged with assault in the 1st degree when on April 11, he is accused of intentionally causing serious physical injury to another person namely Calvin Pauley by means of deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
•John Pack, 40, of Kermit, WV., was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when on April 16, he is accused of unlawfully having been released from custody by the court with or without bail, upon the condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge failed to appear as ordered by the court namely a sentencing hearing.
•Jonathan Pack, 46, of Crum, WV, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when on April 16, he is accused of unlawfully having been released from custody by the court with or without bail, upon the condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge failed to appear as ordered by the court namely a sentencing hearing.
•Brian Howell, 46, of Inez, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when on April 16, he is accused of unlawfully having been released from custody by the court with or without bail, upon the condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge failed to appear as ordered by the court namely a pre-trial conference and he was also charged with persistent felony offender 1st degree.
•Joshua Moore, 28, of Inez, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when on April 2, he is accused of unlawfully having been released from custody by the court with or without bail, upon the condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge failed to appear as ordered by the court namely a pre-trial conference.
•Joshua Moore, 28, of Inez, (in a separate case) was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when on April 2, he is accused of unlawfully having been released from custody by the court with or without bail, upon the condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge failed to appear as ordered by the court namely a pre-trial conference.
•Rita Lynn Maynard, 55, of Lovely, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when on April 2, she is accused of unlawfully having been released from custody by the court with or without bail, upon the condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge failed to appear as ordered by the court namely a sentencing hearing.
