LEXINGTON —Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) membership elected Louisa Mayor Harold Slone to the KLC Executive Board.

Slone has been on the KLC Board of Directors since 2019 and this is his first term on the Executive Board. The board consists of elected and appointed city officials. The 18-member KLC Executive Board is the League’s governing board and oversees its business operations.

Slone thanked KLC membership for the appointment.

“I appreciate the trust KLC members and staff have placed in me to sit on the Executive Board,” Slone said. “I take the responsibility seriously as I know the vital role KLC plays for my city and those throughout the state. I look forward to working with KLC, its executive staff, and the leadership team to help the League continue to grow and serve cities.”

KLC Executive Director/CEO James D. Chaney thanked Slone for his dedication to the League.

“Mayor Slone has shown a strong commitment to KLC during his time on the Board of Directors, and I know that will only grow as he moves into the new role on the Executive Board,” Chaney said. “We are thankful that so many public servants are willing to give their time and expertise to the League and its members.”
