Locations in Floyd County to apply for FEMA assistance
FLOYD COUNTY — According to a release from the Prestonsburg Police Department, if any of your property has been damaged by the flood. The County Judge Executive’s office is requesting that you report the information to their office at 606-886-9193. This information is for FEMA to help assess the totality of this event, your cooperation is appreciated.
The following is information you will need when you call, your name, phone number and address; any damage to the property such as outbuildings, land, etc.; was water in the home? How high in the home? Water in the basement? Is the home repairable or not?
You may also contact FEMA representatives at the Martin Community Center, KY 7911 KY Rt. 80, Langley; and the Old Mann Toyota building in Prestonsburg, 912 South Lake Drive, Prestonsburg. Both locations are also a distribution center for possible items of need.
They are also asking that prior to removing or fixing an damage to take pictures of the damage for documentation.
Also, there is a county dump site that is located at the intersection of KY RT 80/KY Rt. 680, Dollar General, Eastern, KY 39 KY RT 680 W, Eastern. Any items that were damaged by the floods can be taken to this location.
