Lawrence County Turkey Trot

EVERY YEAR THE Lawrence County Turkey Trot that is held on Thanksgiving morning gets a little bigger. In 2022, a total of $3,225 was collected for the Lawrence County School Backpack program, this year the amount was doubled. Wes Kingsmore, tourism director said, “We are happy to say we are humbled to have been blessed with 179 participants in the 2023 Turkey Trot, raising a total of $6,002 for the school program. I love and appreciate everyone that helped in anyway. We are blessed with a loving and giving community.
