Lawrence County Health Day

Appalachian Community Health Day was celebrated at Savage Farms, located below Fallsburg in Lawrence County, on Oct. 6. The event included free health screenings, free COVID-19 vaccines and education, giveaways and door prizes along with a free hotdog lunch sponsored by Kentucky Farm Bureau agent, Steve Montgomery. Free tours were given at the farm for maple syrup and wine making. Lawrence County 4H Agent Maelyn Huff was there with information about services available through the Lawrence County Extension Office.
