Lawrence County Grand Jury hands down nine indictments in December session

Among those indicted during the Lawrence County Grand Jury December session were Michael Maynard, 43, of Louisa on a charge of flagrant non-support. The indictment states that between June 1, 2011 through Sept. 30, 2024 in Lawrence County, Maynard has committed the offense of failing to pay child support to Jesse Cook in an amount exceeding $40,682.41.

Also indicted for flagrant non-support by the Grand Jury was Angela McGuire, 38, of Louisa, who is charged with two counts after she committed the offense of failing to pay child support to Mary Bryant as court ordered in an amount exceeding $12,531.23 and the second count is when she committed the offense of failing to pay child support to KY Foster Care as court ordered in an amount exceeding $3,436.20.

Roy Osborne, 35, of Louisa, was indicted on charges of failure to comply with sex offender registration subsequent offense and first-degree persistent felony offender when on Oct. 10, he unlawfully failed to register his new address with the appropriate local probation and parole office as stated in the provisions of KRS 17.510, while having 2 or more previous convictions of this offense.

Lisa Green, 54, of Louisa, was indicted on two charges of first-degree possession of controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

The indictment states that on Nov. 7, Green committed the offense of unlawfully being in possession of Fentanyl, Cocaine and operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

Fayus Gayheart, 58, of Ulysses, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a Oxycodone, third-degree possession of Xanax, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol, rear license not illuminated, failure to wear seatbelt, failure to produce insurance card, resisting arrest and menacing when on Oct. 12, the day of his offenses, he unlawfully attempted to prevent KSP Troopers Dallas Salyers and Zachary Wright from effecting an arrest by using physical force against them.

Allen Presley, 46, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance when on Aug. 30, he unlawfully committed the offense of being in possession of 1.4 grams of Methamphetamine and also possession of drug paraphernalia for being in possession of two syringes.

Ashley Windham, 39, of Louisa, was indicted on a charge of fraudulent use of a credit card when on Sept. 15, she unlawfully used a credit card and intentionally defrauded Shannon Elkins by using, for the purpose of obtaining money, goods or services without the consent of the cardholder with a total loss of $1,447.00.

Shonda Osborne, 52, of Louisa, was indicted on a charge of first-degree assault and first-degree on wanton endangerment when on Oct. 24, she committed the offense of causing serious injury to Clifford Marcum by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument and engaged in conduct that created substantial danger of death or serious injury to Amy Marcum both of Blaine.

Kevin A. Totten, 48, of Louisa, was indicted on charges of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 when on Oct. 10, he committed the offense of unlawfully taking a 2010 Forrest River Brand Travel Trailer from John Thompson with an approximate value of $4,000, a Hydraulic Ram 150-ton jack valued at $9,959.29, two Hydraulic Ram 100- ton jacks, one valued at $18,464.00 and the other $19,059.00, a Samsung 43 inch television, valued at $289.00, a coffee pot valued at $169.99, and an air fryer valued at $129.00, all items totaling $52,070.28. Totten is also charged with a count of persistent felony offender and first-degree criminal mischief.
