KSP Conducts Death Investigation in Floyd County

PRESTONSBURG — The Kentucky State Police in Pikeville located human remains on April 22, 2022, in the Prestonsburg community of Floyd County and they have been positively identified as Kandi Gonzales.

Gonzales was reported as last seen on June 1, 2021, in the area of Abbott Creek Road in the Prestonsburg community of Floyd County at which time a missing persons case was initiated.

KSP has an ongoing death investigation and the cause of her death is undetermined, a release from the Kentucky State Police said.
