Johnson County Issues 17 Indictments

PAINTSVILLE — The Johnson County Grand Jury issued 17 indictments on Feb. 16.

•Kody Harless, 25, of Paintsville, is charged with three counts of first-degree promoting contraband.

On or before Nov. 22, 2023, Harless allegedly introduced, obtained or possessed a controlled substance into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, namely Hydrocodone; Methadone and Fentanyl.

•Adam C. Vanhoose, 36, of West Van Lear, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

On or about June 16, 2023, Vanhoose was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and he destroyed, removed, altered or concealed physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding.

•Dewey Hamilton, 46, of Paintsville, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

On or about July 29, Hamilton was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

•William Price, 46, of Van Lear, is charged with first-degree assault and second-degree persistent felony offender.

On or about Dec. 3, 2023, Price allegedly caused serious physical injury to another person by means of a dangerous instrument, namely Kenneth Litchfield of Williamsport and he is a previously convicted felon.

•Danielle Marie Robertson, 37, of Paintsville, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance; possession/use drug paraphernalia; operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license; failure to produce an insurance card and failure to wear a seat belt.

On or before Sept. 18, 2023, Robertson was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and a set of digital scales; she was operating a motor vehicle while her license was suspended or revoked and had no insurance and operated the vehicle without seat belts.

•Rebecca Arnett, 58, of Salyersville, is charged with first-degree promoting contraband.

On or before Jan. 5, Arnett allegedly introduced, obtained or possessed a controlled substance into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, namely Alprazolam.

•Jeremy Billiter, 44, of Netawaka, KS, is charged with flagrant non-support.

From 2/1/2019 through 1/31/2024, Billiter allegedly failed to pay court ordered child support to Amy Billiter with a total amount exceeding $11,329.14.

•Erik C. Castle, 30, of Sitka, is charged with flagrant non-support.

From, on or before 2/1/2022 through 1/31/2024, Castle allegedly failed to pay court ordered child support to Samantha Hammond with a total amount of arrears exceeding $4,136.

•Brian Casey, 40, of Keaton, is charged with third-degree burglary/complicity and theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 complicity.

On or before Oct. 2, 2023, Casey acting alone or in complicity with an unknown defendant allegedly entered Zip Zone located at 18 KY 1559 in the Stambaugh community of Johnson County with the intent to commit a crime and took $3,297.38 in cash monies from the Zip Zone with the amount of the loss exceeding $1,000.

•Kendra Blair, 34, of Wabash, IN, is charged with third-degree burglary; two counts of third-degree assault of a police officer; theft by unlawful taking under $1,000, shoplifting; resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct.

On or about Jan. 20, Blair allegedly entered and remained at Walmart of Paintsville after having been banned from the premises on Nov. 8, 2019, with the intent to commit the crime of theft; she assaulted or attempted to assault Paintsville Police Officers, Sebastian Shepherd and Justin Jackson while they were acting in their official capacity; she took or exercised control over $515.59 worth of products from Walmart of Paintsville; she attempted to prevent police officers from effecting an arrest by using or threatening to use physical force against them and she engaged in violent or threatening behavior in a public place with the intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance and or alarm.

•Emit Kidd, 37, of Buffalo, is charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 an auto.

On or about Feb. 4, Kidd allegedly took a Buick Encore owned by Timothy and Karren Helton of Staffordsville with a value of $23,186.

•David Jeremy Caudill, 44, of Salyersville, is charged with flagrant non-support.

From, on or before 1/1/2012 through 12/31/2023, Caudill failed to pay court ordered child support to Martha Lemaster with a total amount of arrears exceeding $17,206.58.

•Michael S. Green, 36, of Dayton, OH., is charged with flagrant non-support.

From, on or before 3/1/2012 through 12/31/2023, Green allegedly failed to pay court ordered child support to Ashley N. Vanhoose with a total amount of arrears exceeding $5,295.92.

•Jonathon E. Fairchild, 38, of Wilmington, NC, is charged with flagrant non-support.

From, on or before 7/11/2011 through 12/31/2023, Fairchild allegedly failed to pay court ordered child support to Connie S. Pelfrey with a total amount of arrears exceeding $12,501.69.

•Christopher Castle, 35, of Lowmansville, is charged with flagrant non-support.

From, on or before 4/1/2022 through 12/31/2023, Castle allegedly failed to pay court ordered child support to Sabrina Perkins with a total amount of arrears exceeding $6,111.

•Jeffery D. Blair, 37, of Staffordsville, is charged with flagrant non-support.

From, on or before 11/1/2021 through 12/31/2023, Blair allegedly failed to pay court ordered child support to Shawna M. Edwards with a total amount of arrears exceeding $5,694.

•Kyle Delong, 32, of Rochester, NY is charged with flagrant non-support.

From, on or before 6/1/2015 through 1/31/2024, Delong has allegedly failed to pay court ordered child support to Delora Fitzpatrick with a total amount of arrears exceeding $5,262.
