Grand Opening of Axe Country Brings Family Fun to Paintsville

By Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce

PAINTSVILLE– Eastern Kentucky’s newest indoor entertainment venue, Axe Country, celebrated its grand opening on Saturday September 30, at 531 Broadway Street in Paintsville, KY. The grand opening began with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce with community and media members present.

As the Southeast Kentucky Chamber’s newest member, Axe Country offers fun for the whole family, featuring axe throwing, cornhole, a rage room, billiards, an arcade. It is also the new home of Rustic Oak boutique.

The owners of Axe Country, Jeff and Sherri Pennington, expressed humility and gratitude for their new venture.

“We would like to thank God for blessing us with making this possible,” Sherri Pennington said. “If we didn’t have Him, we would not have been able to do any of this.”

“The biggest thing is being able to give hard-working families a place to go to have safe, wholesome fun,” Jeff Pennington said.

“We are so excited to work with Axe Country and to share in the celebration of their grand opening,” President & CEO of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber, Jordan Gibson said. “Axe Country fills a growing need for entertainment venues; we look forward to seeing their success and growth.”
