PAINTSVILLE — A Flat Gap woman was arrested Sept. 15 after being involved in a hit-and-run collision involving a motorcycle on U.S. 23 at Rt. 201 after she fled the scene.

Angel Clark, 39, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid, second-degree disorderly conduct and first-degree assault.

According to the police report, Clark was involved in an accident, left the scene and went to an apartment complex on Third Street in Paintsville. Clark stated in the report that she was involved in an accident but the other person left, and then she stated that she wasn’t in an accident.

The tag the witness gave came back to Clark’s vehicle, which then took off from the scene, the report said.

Clark said that she was going to have the officer’s job and tell the jail that he had touched her inappropriately, the report said.

The officer said in the report that he had placed handcuffs on her and that was it.

Clark was taken into custody and transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Johnson County.

W.R. Castle Fire & Rescue said in a post on Facebook that they assisted the Paintsville Fire Department at its request. Upon their arriva,l they found a motorcycle that had collided with a second vehicle, which had left the scene.

W.R. Castle assisted Paintsville EMS in immobilizing the patient and loading him for transport to an awaiting helicopter at the Johnson County Middle School. Members then managed traffic until a wrecker removed the motorcycle from the scene.
