Elderly Woman loses life in house fire in Blaine

An early morning fire claimed the life of an elderly Blaine woman Tuesday morning, April 28.
According to Blaine Fire Chief Jeff McCarty, the call came in around 5 a.m. and when they arrived at the scene the structure (mobile home) belonging to the deceased Shirley Quisenberry, 87, was fully engulfed.
An out building located close to the structure and a vehicle that was parked close by was also destroyed.
One lane of KY 32 was shut down for 4 hours reported McCarty while they worked to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time, which is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police. Both Fire Departments Station 5-Blaine and Station 7- Webbville responded.
