Daughters of the American Revolution celebrate Flag Day

The Louisa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution set up a table in front of the Lawrence County Courthouse Monday and handed out a plastic bag filled with small, cloth American flags, double flag enamel lapel pins and patriotic wrapped mints as well as flag code pamphlets and Pledge of Allegiance cards in recognition of Flag Day. The group also had a quilt on display for which it is selling chances, with all proceeds generated going toward the organization’s scholarship program. BSN photos/Lilly Adkins
