City of Martin hosts annual Festival Oct. 17-18

The City of Martin in Floyd County, will have their 56th  annual Red White and Blue Festival on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18, in a new location, 12602 Main Street beside The Market.

On Friday, the flag raising ceremony will begin at 5 p.m., at the Martin Fire Department, followed by a Veterans Memorial dinner at 6 p.m., at the Christian Appalachian gym. There will be plenty of food booths, arts and crafts and more.

Amusements ride will be from 5-11 p.m., on Friday and 3-11 p.m., on Saturday; Appalachian Revival will play from 5-6 p.m.; Wildfire Championship Wrestling will be at 6 p.m., and Captured Louisville “The Ultimate Journey Tribute” will play at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, a car show will begin at 9 a.m., at the US Bank; parade will begin at 2 p.m. (line-up at 1 p.m. on Main Street); Bobby Caudill will perform from 3-4 p.m., and Southern Prodigy from 4:30-6 p.m.; Petty Rewind “A Tom Petty Musical Experience” will be at 7 p.m.; with the evening ending at 9:30 p.m., with fireworks by Pyro Shows.
