Christmas for Kids Horse Show fundraiser held in Louisa

Louisa Christmas For Kids Horse Show was held at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Sept. 21. The event was held to raise money to help children in the area have a better Christmas. A total of $3,688 was collected.

There were twenty sponsored categories. Lead Line sponsored by Cash Caudill; Open Ladies Pleasure by Shirley and Samantha Delong; Walt/Trot in memory of Dave Johnson; Go As You Please Pleasure by the Dotson Family; Open Spotted Pleasure by Greg and Vicki Caudill and Masyn Moore; Beginner Walk Trot by the Ramey Family; Juvenile Pleasure (13-17) in memory of Joe and Wayne Maynard (Maynard Branch Farm); 4-year old and under Pleasure by Lawrence County Tourism Commission; Bareback Pleasure by Sherry Compton and Kirk Towing; Open Men’s Pleasure by Virgil Pack Auction Services, Prichard, WV; Speed Racking by Charles and Sue Wallace and Kentucky Supply, Grayson; Juvenile Pleasure (12 and under) by Martin Wright; Open Country Pleasure by Todd Case Trucking; Western Pleasure (walk, trot and canter) by Bartram Chapel Church; Open Trail Pleasure by Rick and Debbie Pack; Youth Pleasure Championship by Puryear Trucking; Open Pleasure Championship by Case Mart; Open Poles by Brown’s Foodservice; Youth Barrels (17 and under) in memory of Walt Triplett; and Open Barrels by Larry and Connie Castle, Helen Hughes and Sandy Hardwick.
